Infinity Sales Group Donates Laptops to West Palm Beach School

Boca Raton, FL – In response to a fundraiser reported on WPTV in Palm Beach County, Florida, the Boca Raton marketing firm Infinity Sales Group (ISG) donated 50 computers to local students in need.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced schools including charter, public, and private, to finish the school year by holding classes online. However, many low-income students have no computers. This need was recognized by teacher Vasantha Siva of University Preparatory Academy in West Palm Beach, a school where many students are in need and over 10% of them are homeless. To help rally support for students in need of crucial equipment, Ms. Siva assembled a fundraiser on Facebook, seeking funds to provide laptops to her students. The fundraiser was so successful that it attracted the attention of WPTV, the local NBC affiliate serving Palm Beach county and the Treasure Coast. This in turn brought the cause to the attention of Josh Slater, CEO of Infinity Sales Group (ISG).

Infinity Sales Group is located in Boca Raton, in the south of Palm Beach County, and is a performance marketing and inbound sales center that acquires new customers for the nation’s top telecommunications providers. Their values and mission statement place the utmost importance on bringing the Internet into every home, from rural communities in remote areas to the suburbs in their own backyard. This donation represents not only their commitment to the providers they represent but also to the benefits the community receives from being connected, especially during this time of social distancing.

As the COVID-19 crisis unfolded over the winter, ISG was already preparing for social distancing. Since ISG sells Internet services, they are considered an essential business at a time when Internet connections are more important than ever. However, they are also committed to their employees, which means keeping them safe. Their business continuity plan included the purchase of hundreds of laptop computers intended for employees to use at home so they could continue to work, earn a paycheck, and provide valuable services to consumers. For ISG employees remaining onsite at the company’s 55,000 sq. ft. headquarters, the company hired full-time nurses to perform daily health checks and doubled the cleaning staff for proper sanitation.

Due to ISG’s high level of preparedness, they had excess laptop inventory. So when Mr. Slater saw a news report about the fundraiser, he reached out to the school with the extra laptops. He and Chief Information Officer George Smith personally delivered 50 laptops to University Preparatory Academy, which helped the charter school significantly in reaching its goal of providing laptops to all 330 students. These laptops will help the students of University Preparatory Academy get online and be able to attend classes during the COVID-19 crisis.

The need for reliable Internet has never been more obvious than during the COVID pandemic. Everyone is dependent on the Internet and online services for everything, from grocery and prescription delivery to telemedicine to school and class attendance.
